2017 is a key moment to implement the three-year action plan for the development of Shanghai's cultural and creative industry（2016-2018）. Although industrial design in Shanghai and even in the whole country is booming，but the problem of large but not strong industry still exists. In order to promote the development of Shanghai industrial design enterprise，use advantages and avoid the risk of age times，improve the design innovation ability and enhance the national strength，this paper puts forward basic ideas and feasible suggestions for the development of Shanghai industrial design by teasing the current situation of Shanghai industrial design，summarizing its development constraints and trend.
