In this paper，regional data from 2014 to 2016 are selected to establish an informatization evaluation index system.It measures the overall situation of the imformatization development in 31 provinces，autonomous regions，and municipalities（excluding Hong Kong，Macao and Taiwan），and analyzes the gap of informatization level and the extent of regional digital divide.In the last section，the paper discusses policy choices of bridging the digital divide and promoting regional balanced development by considering the factors related to the digital divide，the Lorenz Curve and the Gini Coefficient，and proposes policy suggestions for improving the level of informatization and bridging the digital divide.
