In recent years，government departments have carried out “severe punishment” on food rumors in cyberspace，and tried to materialize this governance spirit into laws（regulations）. In order to deter the spread of food rumors，relevant departments may impose penalties on the parties concerned for crimes such as “damaging business reputation，commodity reputation”，“extortion”，etc.，or the enterprises involved may bring civil lawsuits with huge claims，or frequently impose security punishments.
