Quality Control Circle（QCC）activity developed to be a quality management tool based on PDCA theory. QCC activity is divided into four stages and ten steps. By using seven quality management tools，it combines idea，action and management method successfully. The development of QCC in medical institutions in Mainland China has gained a stage achievement in the past ten years，though experiencing ups and downs. “China Federation for Hospital Quality Management” and “The National Hospital QCC Competition of Chinese Hospitals” lit the enthusiasm of medical industry for QCC，and QCC became one of the most widely used quality management tools in medical institutions quickly. Nowadays，the activities of QCC in have given rise to tremendous vitality and vigor in Chinese hospitals. The vast numbers of front-line medical staff actively participate in the activities of continuous quality improvement from bottom to top，which has promoted the innovation of medical quality management and the reformation of hospital organizational culture in China. This paper introduced the basic theory of QCC and the development process，analyzed the current situation of the application of QCC in Chinese hospital and summarized the experience of promoting QCC in China. At last，the paper formulated the next strategy of promoting QCC.
