The number of corrupt issues uncovered during the French presidential election campaign in 2017 sparked widespread discussions and critics around political corruption，and pushed directly the French government to present a legislative act aiming at moralizing and regulating the political life. The bills approved in September 2017 introduce a number of new provisions，such as prohibiting Parliament members from hiring their close family members，supervising their tax obligations，removing their allowances and reservations，avoiding conflicts of interest，and regulating the financing of political candidates and parties. However，some of the factors that may breed political corruptions have not been included in this legislation，which has attracted a number of criticisms.
