the development of urban sculpture and city has its inherent cultural logic，and the characteristics of urban sculpture are also part of the cultural characteristics of the city. As a city of integration between China and the west，Shanghai’s urban sculpture has a distinct colonial culture. The analysis of the old Shanghai urban sculptures provides a sample for the principles of the development of contemporary urban sculpture.
