On the basis of the theoretical discussion of Marx，Engels and other Western Max classic writers，and the fundamental value of Chinese traditional culture，the current paper gives an etymology and content analysis of the social level value of the Core Values of Chinese Socialism-Patriotism，Dedication，Integrity，and Friendship. We analyze the historical evolution of the usage of these concepts in Chinese cultural tradition，and the value connotation that should be born in the construction of the Core Value of Chinese Socialism.
