2017年，湖北省哲学社会科学取得长足进步，呈现蓬勃发展的良好局面。首先，本报告回顾了2017年度湖北哲学社会科学学术进展，对湖北哲学社会科学研究队伍、湖北哲学社会科学专业学位点和学术学位点的类别和数量分布情况、湖北哲学社会科学重要研究平台的发展现状、湖北哲学社会科学科研项目立项情况与经费来源等进行统计分析，并与国内部分省市进行了比较；其次，本报告对2017年度湖北哲学社会科学的主要研究成果进行了统计，重点回顾了2017年度湖北学者在国内顶尖中文核心期刊上的发文数量、转载及获奖情况，并与北京、上海、浙江、江苏等5省市进行比较分析，试图总结湖北哲学社会科学发展特色；最后，在充分肯定湖北哲学社会科学发展成就的同时，分析了发展中存在的主要问题，并在此基础上对湖北哲学社会科学发展前景进行了展望。
<<In 2017，Philosophy and social sciences of Hubei Province have made great progress and presented a good momentum of vigorous development. Firstly，the report reviews the academic progress of philosophy and social sciences in Hubei in 2017，has collected and analyzed the classification and quantity distribution of Hubei philosophy and social science research team，Hubei philosophy and social science degree and academic degree points，the development status of Hubei important research platform of philosophy and social sciences，and the funding situation concerning research project of Hubei philosophy and social sciences by comparing with those in some other provinces and cities in China. Secondly，the report has carried out statistics on the main research results of the philosophy and social sciences in Hubei in 2017，focused on the number，reprint and awards of Hubei scholars in the top Chinese core journals in 2017，compared and analyzed with Beijing，Shanghai，Zhejiang，Jiangsu，etc.，and tried to sum up the characteristics of the development of philosophy and social sciences in Hubei. Finally，while fully affirming the achievements in the development of philosophy and social sciences in Hubei Province，the report analyzes the main problems in the development，and on this basis，prospects for the development of philosophy and social sciences in Hubei Province.
