The renowned fable of the Foolish Old Man named Yugong who moved mountains has been quoted and interpreted from generation to generation and in the late stage of Qing Dynasty，the fable became the cultural source that inspired all the Chinese to defeat the powers who invaded our country. At the closing ceremony of the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China，President Mao Zedong delivered a report titled by the Foolish Old Man who Moved Mountains to call for all the Chinese people to learn from the foolish old man，then，the spirit became the significant spiritual power in attaining the victory of New Democratic Revolution through Chinese people’s common efforts and unity. Since the 18th CPC of National Congress，President Xi Jinping has proposed on many occasions that we should continuously to learn from the old man. In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics，Yugong spirit has been endowed with new meanings and it is still the spiritual power to inspire communists to unite and move on firmly in aspects such as poverty alleviation，ecological civilization and anti-corruption.
