Based on conducting a more comprehensive and in-depth case study of the development of voluntary service organizations in Guangzhou，this paper puts forward that the development of voluntary service organizations in Guangzhou presents six major trends，including：socialization，standardization，specialization，informatization，branding and internationalization.Accordingly，this analysis argues that the function development of Guangzhou Voluntary Service Organizations in the new era will focus on carrying out the innovation of social govern-ance in ten fields，such as promoting elderly services，improving the quality of youth growth services，and deepening voluntary services for disabled people.On this basis，relevant policy recommendations are further proposed to promote the development of voluntary service organizations.
