Guangzhou's competitive e-sports industry has a favorable development basis and advantages. However，its development level is inconsistent with its city positioning，which is mainly reflected as lack of relevant policy guidance，inadequate social recognition，low development degree，etc. On the basis of in-depth investigation and reference to advanced experience both at home and abroad，this report puts forward the idea that Guangzhou should strengthen guidance for development of its competitive e-sports industry through improvement of policy guidance，strengthening and optimizing of the competitive e-sports industrial carriers，enhancing comprehensive supporting service，standard and sound development，etc.
