The pharmaceutical industry is a major industry concerning the national economy and people's livelihood，and a key field in the “Made in China 2025” plan and the emerging strategic industries.The pharmaceutical industry covers chemical drugs（API，dosages），biological drugs（vaccines，biologicals），Chinese patent drugs，excipient，and pharmaceutical equipment.This report first reviewed the development of China's pharmaceutical industry during the “12^th Five-Year”，analyzed the economic situation in 2017，and studied the prospect of the development during the “13^th Five-Year”.The pharmaceutical industry in our country has great prospects in the future.
