Cultural industry is an important strategic support for Hubei’s construction of a strong cultural province. It can satisfy people’s diverse spiritual and cultural needs，enhance the construction of cultural soft power，and promote economic and social transformation and upgrade. By constructing the index system of cultural industry development，this report analyzed the specific indicators of cultural industry about 17 cities and counties in Hubei Province，and drew up the index ranking of cultural industry development in 2016，in order to make an objective evaluation of the level of cultural industry development in various regions. It provided a useful reference for the formulation of public cultural policy.
