Ancient cities are practical carriers of historical relics and traditional culture. They are the concentrated embodiment and epitome of the thousands years of Chinese civilization and culture. They are also precious material and spiritual heritage. The Luoyi Ancient City Cultural Tourism Park has made active exploration and took actions in the aspects of solid state protection，living relics inheritance and industry development. The Park has become a highlight in the field of historical relics protection of Luoyang’s ancient city area，as well as the revival and inheritance of Luoyang’s traditional culture. This article provides solutions in four areas：Firstly，to promote and expand the beauty of the ancient city comprehensively，to create a “demonstration zone” for the whole area tourism；Secondly，to restore the original characteristics，to deepen the understanding of culture，to re-develope the “old film” of the ancient capital of a thousand years；Thirdly，to improve the people’s livelihood，to promote the protection of culture，and to build a “new living room” that will accommodate all the cultures；Fourthly，to adhere to scientific planning，to promote culture and build new brand for traditional culture.
