Blood service data of Qingdao in 2017 were summarized and evaluated in the report. In the year of 2017，about 113，400 blood donations were collected from voluntary unpaid donors with 12.3 donations per 1，000 population. 180，600 units of whole blood and 16，700 therapeutic doses of aphresis platelet concentrate were collected，respectively. Compared with previous years，the blood supply was adequate and safe although the clinical blood demand increased significantly. The current status of blood management in Qingdao were introduced in this report，including development of voluntary blood donation，blood collection and supply，construction of blood information management，nucleic acid testing of blood，quality management and blood transfusion management，etc. Prons and cons of blood management were analyzed and relevant solutions were presented.
