The public opinions concerning agriculture，rural areas and farmers in Shanghai in 2017 was stable in general，with WeChat and Weibo account for over 60% of the public opinions. Following aspects have got sustained attention of the public：Shanghai intensified the agricultural supply-side structural reform；took multiple measures to promote the development of modern urban green agriculture，facilitate the development of agricultural brands，transform agricultural product circulation patterns，pilot income insurances，explore new pathways of financial support to agriculture，intensify rural reform to boost the sense of happiness of farmers，and continue conducting comprehensive rectification “Five Illegals and Four Musts”，namely “rectification of illegal land use，illegal construction，illegal businesses，illegal discharge of wastes，illegal residence；potential safety risks must be eradicated，illegal and uncertified constructions must be demolished，dirtiness and disorder must be corrected，and illegal businesses must be banned”. Agriculture-related topics such as Shanghai Municipal Government put forward the most stringent food safety regulations in history，new generations of migrant workers have strong willingness to stay in Shanghai have been heatedly discussed.
