In 2017，the development of public opinions concerning agriculture，rural areas and farmers in Jilin province demonstrated obvious seasonal characteristics. Public attention positively focused on the agricultural supply-side structural reform that prioritized the adjustment of corn production，multiple measures to build agri-brands featuring “made in Jilin”，popularity of comprehensive utilization of crop stalk，policy mix for poverty alleviation and improvements on farmers’ loan access through rural financial services and products innovation. Substantially increased incidents of burning crop stalk and high-price corn also aroused heated discussions.
