    区块链跨链机制及其应用生态

    摘要

    区块链技术发展至今,诞生了无数条不同的链,公链、联盟链等大量各自独立的价值生态,彼此孤立,很难互连,也导致各个区块链的价值与创新难以流通与共享。实现链与链之间的交互操作和价值转移,将是区块链行业发展的一个重要关卡。其必要性正在形成业内共识。跨链技术之于区块链,就像TCP/IP之于互联网。基础通信协议-TCP/IP在将各个孤立系统连接起来后,才有了今天的全球互联网。跨链机制的实现将为区块链带来关键性突破。然而跨链从Blockstream提出侧链概念以来,一直是区块链技术的重点攻关方向。目前全球拥有包括Polkadot、Cosmos、Wanchain等在内的从事跨链技术研究的机构。目前并没有被普遍认可的跨链机制,众多区块链项目提到了跨链,对跨链的本质到底是什么,跨链需要解决的是什么问题鲜有探讨。本报告希望从什么在跨链、跨链的属性、价值意义、技术关键难点等角度出发,帮助我们理解跨链,同时在本报告中以Wanchain的跨链机制为例,介绍技术实现的路径方案。

    Abstract

    Various chains have been created since the development of blockchain. Digital assets on different chains are isolated from each other,which performs “value island”. Cross-chain targets such issue and it aims to eliminate “value island” by bridging these islands. How to connects and exchanges value between different blockchain ledgers in adistributed manner,will be an important point in the development of the blockchain industry. Cross-chain technology for blockchain,just like TCP/IP for Internet. Basic Communication Protocol-TCP/IP connects the isolated systems and now we have today’s global Internet. Cross-chain mechanism will bring a key breakthrough to the blockchain. The cross-chain technology has been discussed by many blockchain projects. However,what is the essence of cross-chain and the problems cross-chain can solve are rarely addressed. Similarly,various teams,such as Cosmos and Polkadot,have recently offered blockchain connectivity solutions for networks running on various protocols,regardless of their consensus mechanism. This paper hopes to help us understand the cross-chain technology by discussing the perspective of cross-chain,cross-chain attributes,value significance,and technical key difficulties. At the same time,cross-chain technology by Wanchain will be introduced and explained.
