This article mainly analyses Macau’s macroeconomic environment and development and its principal industries in 2017，and attempts to predict the economic climate of the coming year. Based on the figures in 2017，Macau’s Gross Domestic Product（GDP）has grown by 9.1% in real terms after 26 months of deep-level adjustments. The economy is recovering and growth becomes stable. It is predicted that in 2018，the economic development of Macau may face certain resistance due to uncertainties in the world situation，such as the emergence of the Sino-US trade war，the US Dollar entering a new interest rate increase cycle，and the prospect of world economic recovery not being fully clear. However，Macau’s long-term economic development remains optimistic. Macau’s economy will continue to head steadily towards a good direction in 2018，with prediction of maintaining a high single-digit growth rate for the entire year.
