In the face of a new round of scientific and technological revolutions and industrial changes，developing intelligent manufacturing has become the common choice of developed countries in Europe and America. It is of great strategic importance for Jiangsu，a manufacturing province，to follow the trend of global industrial technology and promote the intelligentization of manufacturing. The United States，Germany，Japan，and other developed countries have accumulated rich experience in advancing the intelligentization of manufacturing industries. By comparing and analyzing their practices，we can find out some common laws that will provide helpful experience for the intelligent transformation of manufacturing industry in Jiangsu. On the basis of the above，we will propose relevant countermeasures to promote the intelligentization of Jiangsu manufacturing industry from the following aspects：improving top-level design，perfecting supporting measures，launching extensive cooperation，strengthening enterprise innovation，stepping up talent introduction，and constructing service platforms.
