Based on surveys of minors’ online socialization in ten provinces，combined with detailed data，this article gives an overall picture of the state of Chinese minors’ online socialization. The study finds that for Chinese minors，their online socialization is a continuation of their acquaintance society and they have relatively stable social spaces that they treat with clear-headed caution. The authors argue that online socialization for minors have two-sided effects，which should be handled carefully. Against risks of addiction and deep-immersion，precautions should be taken via legal，educational and other channels.
