Our analysis on Chinese minors’ use of mobile internet and WeChat has the following findings：More than 80 percent minors use WeChat；WeChat Public Channel consumption and WeChat payment usage are significantly higher among more senior school students. WeChat is mainly used among friends. Minors use mobile phones to access news far less that the average of other age groups. Senior high school students use WeChat primarily for payment. In order to protect minors so that they use phones securely and safely，there is a need for promoting security and safety awareness in payment and online activities. More protection for minors’ privacy is also needed.
