Jiangsu province is the birthplace of famous novels and novelists ，especially the north of Jiangsu which there are more famous novels and novelists than the south of Jiangsu although the economic culture of the former is not as advanced as the latter since the Ming-Qing dynasties. The famous novels and writers of Ming-Qing Dynasties are an important cultural resource of Jiangsu and an important part of Jiangsu literature. As a literature professional periodical in Jiangsu province， Ming-Qing Fiction Studies published dozens of novel research papers related to Jiangsu， which became an important carrier of promoting Jiangsu's excellent traditional culture. These papers published in 2016-2017 are rich in content and cover a wide range of issues. The “Jiangsu Factor” is deeply rooted in this academic journal.
